SUMMARY:The Queens Cartoonists at the Craterian
DESCRIPTION:Pulling from over 100 years of animation from around the world\, The Queen’s Cartoonists bring animated films to life\, perfectly synchronizing their performances with the films projected on stage. The band matches the energy of the cartoons\, leading the audience through a world of virtuosic musicianship and multi-instrumental mayhem\, while breathing new life into two uniquely American forms of art: jazz and animation. Tying everything together is the TQC brand of comedy—anecdotes about the cartoons and their composers\, stream-of-consciousness humor\, and elements of a musical circus.

SUMMARY:The Glenn Miller Orchestra at The Craterian
DESCRIPTION:Uniquely arranged around a clarinet and tenor saxophone playing melody\, and three other saxophones playing harmony\, The Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1938. The band became the most popular and commercially successful dance orchestra of the swing era and one of the greatest singles-charting acts of the 20th century. Tragically\, Glenn Miller’s legendary career was cut short when his plane disappeared in 1944 at the height of his success. By popular demand\, the Miller Estate formed the present Glenn Miller Orchestra in 1956\, and now\, over 60 years later\, both the legend and the music live on. Just as it was in Glenn’s day\, the Glenn Miller Orchestra today is still the most sought after big band in the world\, playing an average of 200 live dates a year.
