Siskiyou Crest Artist in Residence Summer Presentation

Join us for a free presentation and Q&A with 2026 Siskiyou Crest Artist-in-Residence Cody Markelz. A Northern California artist, scientist, and outdoorsman, Cody creates illustrations and zines inspired by the natural world that both educate and entertain. During his residency at Acorn Woman Lookout in the Rogue-Siskiyou National Forest, Cody is creating comparative studies of the Siskiyou Crest and the Mount Shasta region through gouache paintings, sketches, and field journals that will later become a new illustrated zine.
